Hi, I've not been on a while and don't know if you remember me although I'm sure someone will!

My piggy Ernie passed away suddenly at the weekend. I found him Sunday morning in his cage, Igglepiggle was acting like nothing had happened. He didn't look injured or anything obvious so I can only assume it was heart related as he was fine and eating his veggies on Saturday night. I think he would have been about 4/5 years old. I am so sad and have cried lots, just got his ashes back today.

RIP my little man xx

He looks so beautiful, lovely hair and colouring. Sorry you have lost him. When I lost my Borris his brother George was fine due to him being a very independent piggy so I had some time to get over his death before finding George a new friend. However, others have found that their remaining piggy just isn't okay on their own and have had to find friends as quickly as possible. So I guess it depends on the guinea pig how they deal with the death. If Igglepiggle didn't seem bothered he might not be and will be okay for a while. RIP Ernie :luv:
