sad news

Hi,
iv not been on for a while iv been really busy sorry :red
My beautiful Wombat died today, il put a proper post for him in rainbow bridge tomorrow when if i feel up to it. iv spent all afternoon and evening crying.
He was fine last night when i took him his evening veggies, came running up to the front of the cage when he heard me coming.
This afternoon i found him lying on his side in his cage, his eyes were half shut and he couldnt focus or walk. I was about to leave my house to go to the emergency vet when his breathing became really slow and laboured and i realised we wouldnt make it in time.
I placed him back in his cage with his brother and sat stroking him, he died a few mins later.
I'm glad it was at home with me and his bro where he felt safe and not in the car.
I'm completly stunned and shocked tho i cant understand what happened or why he died. Cant help thinking i must of missed something or if id gone into see him earlier today i would of got him to the vets.
Wombat was my first pig and my favourite, I'm going to miss him soo much.
Watching his cagemate sid say goodbye to him was heart breaking.

I know just how you're feeling, but i'm glad he was with you and Sid, it's important they know their cage mate has travelled xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

So sorry you lost Wombat but glad his cagemate Sid as well as you got to say goodbye :(

So very sorry to hear about Wombat.:( At least he didn't suffer for long and that's a blessing.

Awww i am so sorry about Wombat

It's horrible when one min they are fine and then next they are going down hill and dying. And you keep thinking why did they die, what did i do.

Sorry to hear the sad news, at least he was with his mummy.

I'm very sorry to hear about little Wombat. At least he passed over with you at home, where he was comfortable.
