A few weeks ago a bloke at work told me how his nieces had lost a baby piggy to a hawk. I thought how awful, imagine the terror of the poor little thing, and how awful for his nieces. I also expected that they would no longer leave the pigs to roam the garden and would put them in a covered pen, but no... he told me this week that ALLof the baby piggies have been snatched by the sparrow hawk. Duh?! How could they let this happen?
Some people are just too stupid/thoughtless to have pets. :tickedoff:
 
thats so sad how many poor piggies lives were lost, surely you must think if one piggy was taken by a hawk. it would be a good idea to try and stop it from happening again.
 
stupid idiots I know this happens as an ex friend of ours ( an ex breeder) had an owl fly in through the sky light in his hugh caravan type shed where his pigs were kept and took babies he had to cover it in wire, these people are guiilty of neglect, :tickedoff:

Friend of mine was horrified & shocked when a magpie attacked her piggies in the garden, but she took immediate action :)
