image.webp Sadly... As predicted, Peaches has also died!
Just two days after Violet
I've now lost all 4 guineapigs in the space of a year, All from the same lady who rescues them.

Admittedly I did buy them without any background information but I still think age is a factor, they really must have been a lot older than 1 year old.
Physically they're was nothing wrong with them.
Up until a few days ago they were both very happy, little Guineas.

I still have four Sow's so I'm not at a complete loss.

oh so sorry to hear of your losses :bye:
she was such a pretty, fuzzy looking sweetheart  & Violet was gorgeous too.

losing guineas so close to each other nearly breaks you doesn't it- years ago i lost 3 in the space of 2 months, one was an elderly one i was given as she was on her own, but i think she was an undiagnosed heart piggy & health issues, i only had her a few weeks & the other two were very close 5 year old sisters that when one had to be PTS the other didn't cope too well. Although she loved her new companion -My old lady Ellie as soon as she met her, i think she just gave up without her sister.

at least you can be in the knowledge that they didn't suffer & were happy right up until the end. they had all the best care & sounds like plenty of company. my thoughts are with you.

 RIP Violet & Peaches - popcorn free over Rainbow bridge together. xx

So sorry for the loss of your beautiful little girl. It is tough to lose a piggy but even so more so to lose so many so close together in such a short period of time. Massive hugs to you at this sad time x

Sleep well pretty girl

RIP Peaches

Oh, goodness, loss is a terrible thing... :(

Just know that somewhere, over the rainbow, there is crispiest and tastiest hay ever known to guinea-pig kind! My household will keep you in our hearts.

BIG HUGS!

I am ever so sorry for Peaches and all her mates. She was gorgeous!

Sadly, it can happen depending on the background that a group of guinea pigs can come with a genetic fault or a disposition for an illness that prevents them from growing old. I have lost a couple of younger rescue piggies through that.

I am glad that you have got more piggies to help you through this dark patch. Take heart that you have given Peaches and Violet the happiest of lives. You can never control how long a piggy is going to live, but you can make each day they are with you special; that is what counts!

RIP
