Safe Hay Racks?

*For context this would be for potentially monitoring hay intake for health reasons*

I've never found or seen a safe hay rack option for pigs, does anyone no of one or a method I could use to potentially monitor his intake?

Also he sees on exotic vet and were back there later so he is under the care of a vet before anyone says anything.

The best way to monitor hay intake is to weigh a piggy daily, first thing in the morning. Why do you need to monitor his hay intake? Is he losing weight? It's good you have him seeing a vet. If you could give us a bit more background information, it may help us to help you more.
 
He has been tested for many things potential diabites or kidney issues, both ruled out
Then Cushing's disease but that was ruled out.
Now the vet suspects this condition called diabites insiphidus which we are trailing medication right now.

He has never reached over 760g in weight and gotten as low as near 500g, he fluctuates between those amounts.
He is almost 2 years of age now.

For context his friend is always between 1000-1100g.
 
He is always seems to want food but I don't no what more I can give him
He gets the reccomened amount of pellets for 1, unlimited meadow hay plus a little of some other type added in.
Veggies every night
A handful of dried forage every day
and half of a hay based treat.
And the summer when i'm growing stuff or can forage it will be more.
 
Anyway my reasons for this post was I was thinking maybe If I could give him hay in a clean place that cant be peed on maybe he might be more inclined to eat it and it would also give me more of a visual idea of how much hay he actually eats.
 
Okay so the vet isnt that concerned regarding his weight as its not drasticallty low (for the pig in question anyway) and says his weight wont improve right away with these meds anyway but if its still an issue later they can look into his weight issue further
 
In my experience however you give the hay they will pull some out to play with, pee or poo on, stand on, burrow into, sleep in and maybe even eat!

I'm not an expert but the fact he's lost weight and is constantly hungry makes me think he could have a possible thyroid condition.Has your vet tested for that?
 
I had a piggie that was always hungry and ate her food so fast that she coughed and also drank a lot more than her cage mates.She lost weight despite eating a lot and after tests it was found out she had hyperthyroidism and was put on medication.Apologies if your vet has already tested for this.
