Hey all, hope you've all had a great Christmas. So we went to the SSPCA in Glasgow today and have brought home to little boys. They were called Yogi and Fudge but our daughter wants to name them Salt and Pepper.

They're in their new home just now, but made a dart for the bedroom, so hopefully they will come out soon for a wee nibble of something! In the meantime, here is a pic from the SSPCA website.

Did you find the sspca good? I'm looking at going to see some girlies tomorrow.
The boys are gorgeous :)

Yeah we went today and they were honest with us about which ones were suitable. Another few were still being treated for mites, so they recommended these two for us.

I feel much better doing it this way than pets at home.

They are venturing out now, and making lots of noises. Still hide whenever we go near them but I'm sure they will feel better in a few days around us.

Awwwww look at that wee face.
Thats good to hear. I think I'm going to pop over tommorrow and have a little look at the girlies.
Did they know a lot about guineas? What did they advise in terms of bedding, food? etc?

We went to Glasgow branch. I think there's a particular person who looks after the small animals. They didn't really tell us too much about that side of things although I had been looking on here anyway so had a good idea.

The main thing for them was to inform us of any health issues. There were a few others that were on a diet so we could have had them but I guess we would have found things harder with them.

I don't want to appear presumptious! But all I would say is make sure if you are intending on taking some home to have your own carrier.
