I can't get a picture as my camera decided to retire, but it is just under his lip it is a triangle roughly and only under one bit... Is this possible a bite or could it be something any advice on what to do?

No only peppers, cucumber and watercress so no Fruit he did have tomato's but that was last week.

When I was looking at it he went to bite me, which he never does!

I'm not sure everyone is in agreement Joanne, but tomatoes 'may sometimes' cause sore mouths due to the acidity. Possibly as a precaution until you know for certain, you could cut out tommies and other acidic fruit. x

I know about this thats why I thought I should mention the tomato... In the meantime what do I do about the scab... Do I have to remove or can I just leave it.

no advice I'm afraid but i hope hes feeling better soon!

I'm sure AP mentioned somewhere about picking scabs off, but it may well have been something different. Leave it there til he comes on. rolleyes x

I did see that thread and AP mentioning about picking it off but thought it may not be the same thing because it's not all the way round his mouth it is literally just one scab!

Has he been bitten by another pig or maybe caught himself by biting the wire round his cage/hutch?
I assume from what you say that the scab is below his lower lip, unless I misunderstood.

He doesn't ever knaw things occasionally he bites his wooden hut, he is in with 2 girls... but I've never seen any aggresion from any of them. It is possible they may have nipped him he has been chasing alot. Should I leave it and see if it heals?

I have never witnessed anyone biting... just the odd threatening to nip, but They could have bit him.

A scab consists of dried blood, stating the obvious! A cold sore tends to be a yellowish crusty deposit.
I would leave well alone for a couple of days, a scab will tend to fall off without any help, whereas a cold sore stays in place.
