Hey guys!
I’m new to this site, but I’ve got 3 male guinea pigs. All get along pretty well, they have a large cage with multiple places for them to hide and multiple food sources. My youngest pig Chester has a scab on his upper stomach. It just looks like some hair loss and two smaller scabs within the spot that the hair is gone. I’ve never seen my pigs fight, so I’m hoping that maybe he just was cleaning himself and picked a piece of fur off and it left a scab? All three are regularly sprayed for flees.
Thanks!

Hi, welcome to the forum,
That looks nasty, I would take to a vet just in case it’s fungal like ringworm and needs treatment.

Please have him seen by a vet for ringworm or another fungal infection. Do not home treat on spec with losed cheap broad spectrum shop products that can do much more harm than good.
Do not treat any skin problem with anything before you see a vet as it is making any diagnosis so much more difficult.
We cannot diagnose (nor are we legally allowed to) just by looking at a picture online. All we can do is telling you when to see a vet, show you which avenues to pursue with them and suppot you doring treatment.

Please be aware that you will have to treat all piggies in contact with Charlie as fungal is infectious. If it is ringworm, you can also catch it from him. Good hygiene and vet grade disinfectant that kills fungal spores as well as bacteria is vital. Please follow the tips in our ringworm care guide. They work to get on top of it once and for all as they have all been learned the hard way.

Please also note that there are no species specific fleas for guinea pigs and that flea sprays can be harmful or even lethal to them. Fleas And Flea Powders

I found something similar on mine. Did you ever find out what it was?

It would be better for you to start your own thread for ongoing support specific to your case
