Scabby Ankles

I have two piggies that are estimated about 5/6 months old. I check them all over regularly. This time we have noticed some form of scabbing/balding/open sores on Princes ankles. At the moment this is the only area we have found them. We immediately rechecked his cage mate, who appears to have nothing there. I have attached pictures, (possibly not the best) butbibu hope they do the job.
I fully intend to take him to the vet and get him checked However, I was just wondering if anybody has any ideas, or advice, on what it may be in the mean time

Hi and welcome to the forum. It does look like it could be fungal infection but definitely needs checking out. The vet will be able to say for certain and prescribe medication. It's not the most common place for fungal to show up but when I first experienced fungal it also came up in a not so usual place.

I agree - my first thought is fungal, too!
