KOW is old but I don't know how old- I acquired him and his brother(?) two years ago.. Brother passed on about 1 year after I got them.
His back feels super bony and I'm presuming he's just got "old man skin" though his spirit and personality are still very spunky and Alive!
What shall I bathe him with or put on... If anything ?

Hi and welcome!

Could you please give us a bit more background and add your country, state or (for the UK) your county to your details, so we can adapt any advice to what available/possible where you are, considering that we have members from all over the world. Click on your username, thengo to personal details and scroll down to location.
How often are you weighing your boy? Has he lost weight lately? A bony back is usually connected weight loss. Please check around his chest. if you can feel every rib sticking out, then your boy is underweight. This will impinge on what you have to take into consideration for the skin issue, as that can be a secondary issue to something else going on.

Have you ever had him checked by a vet? Was he already adult when you got him? Healthy guinea pigs live 5-7 years old.
We have got a piggy savvy UK vet locator on the top bar, but can provide a link for recommended vets in other countries.

Could you please post a picture of his back. Any scabbing/flaking should be checked by a vet, as it could be a fungal infection, mange mites or another skin complaint. Each of these issues will need different treatment.
