Oh no no haha, i know, same with a dog yeah, between the shoulders, but the infection is on her left shoulder which is how the spot on sort of leaked down, hence initial discovery. I might apply a weeny dot more to the right and hope for the best.
She's doing her best to look fine, but she's hugging into me which she's never done before.

These girls are getting treated to a salad buffet when i get home =)

Oi oi, so i've been in Liverpool with the OH and my mums been taking care of the little ones. I just received this email.. =[

"The pigs were'nt looking any better to me,even though I did all the medicine, and plastered Daktaerin on Poppets skin.Nuggit still sounded wheezy,so I got home loaded them up and went back to Pets at home to give them some ****.
She was on about shampoo etc.I told her I thought they both had mange mites and wanted swabs. She said it was too expensive at £50 a go,so I told it would be cheaper than me coming back every day bearing in mind a consultation should be £24 a go.
She suggested I swap them .I suggested she treat them properly.So.She did swabs and gave them the medication I thought they needed in the form of an injection each. They have to go back next week and the week after for another 2 injections, plus she's given me some stronger anti-fungal and stronger eye cream.
Anyhoo, I brought the cage back down because they were lonely.I sterilized EVERYTHING to get rid of any mites. Oh and she said after looking at nuggets microscopic swab ,that she had eggs of some kind around her ears. So..I was right oh and got some more anti-biotics for nuggets wheeze. They're all snuggled together in a big pile of hay in their cage (in the kitchen sorry) giving each other cuddles because they had a nasty big needle up their bums and cried like little babies all better now though."

I have now officially experienced 3 weeks of the P@H trade. I've heard and read peoples experiences before, and i support the boycott, the idea of trading standards etc but i was not expecting to hear this from my poor mum.

Please bare in mind the girls were impulsively bought because me and mum were so distraught, and we have learnt the hard way. Rescue in future mallet head non the less, i love my little sausages and i'll be sending P@H one rather nice letter.

I do not think you should allow their own vet to treat any animal as they are biased and may not give a true account. Poor little things. I feel so sorry for them. :(

I wasn't there for this episode unfortunately, but we are set to see a local vet next week.
The fact that both me and my mum have been telling the vet, when we have no veterinary knowledge, what is wrong is enough. The premise for going back, is that they are obliged as the company's 'in house vet' to pay and treat regardless. If we know what meds it is specifically the girls need, as a vet they will have it and if need be we will tell them that is the treatment we know if factually correct and to be administered. What with there pet 'guarantee' :)>>> we are entitled to free treatment.
This all adds up to one very messy issue for the store to be informed and reported about.
They're doing great though, little fighters.

They really have no morals do they! suggesting you just swap them over is utterly disgusting, what did they expect you to say 'oh yes ok then, you take these back and I'll have those 2' honestly what are they thinking of?
I get more annoyed with them everyday :(

She suggested I swap them

If anyone was ever in any doubt about PAH treating their animals just like any other cheap and disposable commodity, eh?! I dread to think what would've happened to your girls if they'd been swapped for a shiny new pair of piggies (which on closer inspection could've quite possibly turned out to also be in less than perfect condition.) What a shameful attitude, treating animals with as much respect as a shabby 'bag for life' carrier bag to be taken back for a nice new replacement when it's no longer fit for purpose! :(

Good on your Mum for standing her ground. Fingers crossed the new Vet can help you to get your girls into good health so they can just get on and enjoy being piggies and settle in properly x

I know, the fact that this woman even suggested it sent me into a rage. She referred to a 'batch' that was really ill. Batch. ¬_¬ She said they're factory bred and it's so 'terrible'. Yet there she was telling us to hand them over, have them culled for being ill and take another pair that would no doubt be ill too.
I've drafted a nice letter to them ;).

Anyhow, whatever the skin issue was, it's clearing up nicely = cute little baldy spot, lots of ointment and a much happier baba.

Wee sock jumper to stop her itching at the nicely healed skin :))

Ah bless! You look like you're wearing matching white tops! :)

Glad to hear that she's doing so well.

We do match yes hahaha i didn't spot that! :))
She's doing great! Bouncing about and popcorning everywhere. Still a little carry shy though, would rather be left to run around you than be held - but that shoulder is looking nice and pink instead of red raw. =D Might make her a few little jumpers now :(|)

She's twitching =[

Erm, i thought i saw this yesterday, but passed it off as i was tired - but Poppet has just been happily munching hay with Nuggit and i know i saw it.

3 Times she sort of jolted forward but carried on eating - sort of like the movement when a car breaks suddenly.
She's eating, drinking, bouncing, very vocal but her body is fully rocking foward every few seconds as she eats....wtf? mallethead

How is she now? That sounds really strange. I have no idea but would take her to a vet right away.
