Has anyone had a problem with their sows teats drying up and becoming scaley?
The vet gave me some fungal cream, which helped a bit, but as soon as the cream stopped it came back again. I think the cream helped because it moistened the area but it doesn't cure it. It doesn't spread anywhere else! Has anybody any ideas?

Crusty teats can be indicative of ovarian cysts, but is scaley the same as crusty? ?/

Phoebe had crusty teats. The cream helped but the crustiness came back. Phoebe died a few months ago. :(. Now I've noticed Marmite's teats are dry and shrivelled but not crusty. It could be that it's only just started and hasn't developed to crust yet? She seems fine in herself.

I've just read up on ovarian cysts and that certainly seems to be what Phoebe had. Could be what Marmites starting with. Another trip to the vets I feel, but this time I'll speak to the more clued up vet!
That's for the quick response.
