Scarby has sore skin

Scarby has two abbysinian whorls on either side of his bum.

Sometimes he gets eczema in the middle of these whorls. He squeaks sadly if I touch him there. Is this common with abbies?

Never heard of a pig with eczema before. Has he been treated for mites or fungal?

Poor Scarby. GG does a soothe gel which is lovely. Might be worth having a look.

Are you sure its eczema though? If I saw that on G&M I would put some Daktarin fungal cream oln the spot to soothe it and to help just in case it is fungal.

Tonnis sometimes suffers from dermatitis (flaky skin), that similar? Sorry, can't seem to get my brain working today!

Gorgeous Guineas. They do a range of piggy shampoos etc

Yes it's like dermatitis.

At the moment I am using GG gel and GG cocoa butter cream.

Used to use a shampoo called SELEEN from vets on prescription. It's for dog dermatitis, but you only use a tiny bit mixed in with water and it really great for Tonni's skin.

He gets the odd flare ups.

My Bokki is itching at the moment too and he has had ivomec and is going back for another dose on friday, I'm using the sooth gel from GG and its brilliant, it really helps him, i have noticed that he gets worse when the central heating is on.
