Where almost finished the piggie hutch so are trying the ramp incase we need ant adjustments. We managed to coax them down but there petrified and cowering in the corner not going up :( I've left them in the hutch, with loads of food going from the top to the bottom in hopes they learn to go up, it's nice and shaded so no worries they'll over heat atleast and i've put there stuff in to make it more at home. So i'm leaving them there till they learn to use the ramp or til it gets late and they need to come back inside.

Any other tricks i can use to coax them back up the ramp :-\

You could try putting them on the bottom of the ramp & giving them a gentle nudge. I did this with Howie who'd never seen a ramp before & he was fine. :) The hardest thing for him was the coming down but he soon got the hang of it & now runs up & down like a loon ;D

I gave ours a gentle nudge and they soon got the hang of going up the ramp - one of them isn't keen on coming down it still though although she does every now and then. The other one got used to it ever so quickly but she has always been more outgoing. It just takes a bit of time I think but they'll do it in the end. :)

I tried nudging them but Petal scrambled back down over my hand with her nails, oww ;D We just saw Jessie slowley walking up, put a load of fresh grass at the top so maybe Petal will follow Jessie going up :)

lots of nudges and blackmail with fresh veges ;D i have a few piggies that just won't use ramps no matter what i do :(

it sometimes takes time, once one does it the other will follow for sure. they'll work it out.

Buffy took to ours straight away but Spike took a little bit of coaxing. I have modified my ramp though by cutting up a carpet tile and sticking it on to it. I wasn't too please with the ramp and thought this way if it was smooth with some grip they might not be so scared.

I've noticed they will go up but only 3/4 up the ramp then they stay there and won't go up the rest to the secod floor ? I've brought them in cos it's raining now and abit cold but if it's dry tommorow i'll just keep trying to get them used to it :)

Put some veg they really like at the top and hopefully that will tempt them. I put their dried grass upstairs so they have a reason to want to go up again and again.

Well some of my piggies were fine with their ramps others took a week to get used to the idea and jazz I have had for 2 weeks and hasnt been up or down it since she arrived she has only just braved coming out to eat lol :) Some times it take them time to adjust

Erm if they are quite close and like to be with each other you could try placing one half way up and the other might follow. I'm sure it is just because it is something new to them that they will get used to in time.
