Hi everyone,
I am having the bathroom replaced in our bungalow and it is very noisy.My poor 5 month old girls are so scared ,they aren't eating or moving much. I have tried giving them fresh grass ,Dill , parsley,sweetcorn there favourites.Talking to them and cuddling them.(help any ideas please)
 
Do you have a friend or family member or neighbour who could house them until the work is finished? Or a garden shed/garage which wouldn’t be so noisey
 
Family live to far away,most of my friends think i am mad having guinea pigs at my age.I love them to bit,always have.The shed is so cold and the garage is were they are doing a lot of the cutting. I have had them temporary in a different room as far away has i could they are a bit happier and eating, so finger cross.But thank you so much,give your guinea pigs an extra hug from me.
 
Is there a piggy boarding (centre?) near you they could go to?
If not, sorry can’t help you
 
Hmm it's a difficult one. Perhaps cover the cage with a towel or blanket to help them feel more secure
 
Also maybe try having a radio or TV constantly so they get music and chatting to help them rather than lots of bangs (they will still hear the bangs but hopefully it won't be as disturbing to them)
 
I wondered if you can put a blanket over their cage to reduce the noise.

Thank you all of you, they are slowly getting much better.
