I was just wondering do guinea pigs not learn from each other? My Tigger is such a scaredy cat, if I walk into the room he runs and hides, whereas Thumper just carries on with whatever he is doing. Tigger also won't take food from my hand but Thumper will. Tigger can see all this, so why doesn't he learn from Thumper that it's okay and nothing bad happens?
I know that their main instincts are to run and hide, but Thumper has learnt that it's okay and nobody's going to hurt him.
The best bit is Tigger is the bossy pig always asserting his dominance but is actually a big softy deep down lol
I'm just wondering what you all think?xox

they sound like my 2 Mac and Rascal.Mac is a big wimp and runs at the slightest thing but rascal will just sit there and look to see what it is.Oh and Mac is the boss and takes no messing from Rascal :))

That is just their nature - I have skittish ones and ones that won't budge.

Sounds like my two boys. I've learned to go super slow when it comes to Gilbert otherwise he flees. Sometimes he still does even then, but you just take it slow.

Ludwig runs and eats food from my hand happily whereas Gilbert I have to hold it in front of him for about 2 minutes before he timidly grabs it from my hands and steps two steps backwards.

I don't think Gilbert will ever brave up, just try to take it slow :)
