Does anybody here use a schedule for piggy feeding times?

I was thinking about starting useing one as normally i feed them in morning and at night any time

Do you think it would be a good idea to use the schedule ?

Everyones advice is welcome Hannah x

I dont have a schedule as such but i feed the piggies and my cats around about the same time everyday. I clean them out twice a week that is a full clean then take out bits everyday and top them up with Hay so they always have plenty of Hay.

It used to be 8.30 feed time but now that i have more piggies its 7.30 feed and then again at 5.45 when i get home from work thats fresh food as they have dried stuff in their all day and 8 is bed time!

At 8 i shut them safe in their hutches and put there fleece blankets and snuggle safe heat pads in to keep them warm and cover their hutches with their covers. Boys are in the piggy shed and the girls are still in the garage until the weekend then they are hopefully going in the piggy shed.

I feed the pigguns at 9-10am in the morning, I top up dried mix at noon and then give more veggies and top up hay at 4:45 will have to do it earlier once the dark nights set in as 4 of mine are in the shed! I will probably feed then at 7am then 2:45 before I pick Emily up from school.

:)

I have a schedule too. I feed mine their veggies at 9.30am, top up dry food, timothy hay and same in the evening at about 9pm. They soon let me know if I am late ;D

spooky ....I was just thinking about what I was going to do with the clocks going back,as I normally give them their tea at 4ish the same as you, so as you
have said 2.45 sounds a good time as it will give them a chance to eat before bed time :)

I tend to feed mine veggies and fruit in the morning but the time depends on how cold it is as I like the shed to warm up first before I open the door and let all the cold air in so between 9 and 10:30 I then feed them later in the evening their dry mix at about 6/7 and then about 9 or 10 maybe a bit later I go down and feed them a treat like parsley or some thing and lock them up.

I always do thier water after I get back from the school run and give readigrass and veggies also top up dry feed bowls if needed. Then I am in and out the shed during the day ;) at 7pm Rob gives veggies while I am at work. Then once I am home from work I go in check hay for them to snuggle in and change the water again check dry food if it was not topped up that morning, then light goes off. I do this about 11pm I like to leave the shed light on as the dark nights are very long for them. :) So yes we have a routine :)
