I have a stock of Science Recovery, but I've heard Critical Care mentioned several times on this forum. Are they pretty much the same thing? Or is one better than the other?

There really isn't much difference. Critical Care is the most ideal, but Science Recovery works very well too. The main difference is that Critical Care is a timothy based powdered feed, very much suited to the guinea pigs needs. Science Recovery is an alfalfa based feed. Both contain pre/probiotics and vitamins/minerals but as far as I can see is a fine alternative to Critical Care.

It is up to you which you feed. Another alternative is NutriPowder from Galen's Garden - I have used it with great success, though I do still like to keep Critical Care to hand too.

I've tried both and I prefer Critical Care - I find it easier to get the right consistency! But the piggies seem to be ok on either. I've tried the Nutripowder too (they will send you a sample) and that is more powdery
