Hi all, I am aware that there is a sticky on this - but it doesn't seem to be very active and I'd like some more up to date views.

My piggies are currently on the pets at home nuggets but are going off them (as they always get bored of the same foods after a few months) - so I purchased some SS for them today and have been mixing them in, and they adore them. Our rabbits are also on the rabbit version which they love.

I would love to keep the guinea's on the SS as the ingredients and overall quality and brand are great. My mum is also really impressed with the food. The only thing holding me back is the alfalfa, although my piggies used to be on Burgess Excel with no issues.

Does anybody use this food? Views are welcome. :)

I've just changed my pigs onto SS from pah pellets and they are loving them, I also feed my rabbits SS. A lot of people on here feed SS. Glad your piggies are enjoying it

That's good to hear. I believe the dandelion and fennel has something to do with them loving it so much! I think I will keep them on it. I'm just concerned about the calcium content.

I changed my piggies onto ss after 2 because the quality is so much better and not much difference in price. They love it and are clearly healthy with the amount of running around and general madness everyday. I rarely pay full price either as pets at home always have it on offer or I get vouchers from the VIP club

Thank you for feedback, how old are your pigs? I am still concerned about the calcium content, but all 3 love it, even Porche who usually will only eat muesli!

They're about 8 months old and been on it for the last 6months or so. I choose not to use muesli because I knew they would pick at it and ss has a good vitamin c content. Not sure about the calcium content, something I will take a look at.

Mine were all on SS for a few months alternating with asda but I had a protest and all 18 decided they hated them at same time. They are on asda now for the foresable no doubt they'll be another protest soon and ill be onto something else lol!

This is so funny! Mine love science selective. Funny things aren't they?!

Haha, mine are the same. I will buy a bag of food and they go crazy for it, but before the bag finishes they get fed up.. so I basically never buy the same food more than once in a row. (Their food lasts me around a month)

I think I am mean, but mine know it's that or nothing! :mal:

Went into p@h to buy the guinea pig mag today. I wanted to get one from there as it will help them keep the mag on sale there. I had to my usual check-up on the pigs to make sure they all looked happy and well. I saw SS on offer 2kg for £3.50.

Might be useful for you SS users x
