So my babies are all on science selective, the breeder of the babies used it and when looking into foods I decided to continue as it had a higher vit c content to other stuff, when using it I did notice a massive improvement to the rescue piggies, they looked healthier.

I have since discovered burgess excell has the same vit c content so wondered if there is a massive difference between the 2 as excell is more readily available so I was considering trying it with them. (though I noticed the blackcurrant one doesnt contain any vit c so am I right in thinking that one wouldnt be suitable for a main food? Would it hurt to add some to there normal food though?)

Burgess Excel is a good brand to feed as well and I don't see a problem with switching over :)

I'm sure the Blackcurrant ones does contain sufficient Vitamin Cs too.

Oh does it? I looked on the ingrediants on the burgess site and it didnt list vit c blackcurrant one at all :{

Its sooo confusing working out which one is the best food for them :))

That's why I stick to the plain old Oxbow Cavy Cuisine.
Their pellets' recently got repackaged! &. the staff on Oxbow Facebook fan page told me that they've added some new ingredients that aids in their digestive systems better.

there is such a choice with guinea pig food - which is great but confusing too. Mine wouldnt touch the burgess, tried wagg optimum which they will eat a bit and managed to persuade my friend at the pet wholesalers to get me a bag (small one) of the pellets they had - was going for the same make as their muesli but by pure accident she got supreme science which I have tried and they actually eat.

Never known any herd of pigs be so fussy with their dry food rolleyes
