Does anyone else feed only science selective?
I read somewhere that it is high in calcium so shouldn't be the only pellet fed.....

I know a lot of people use it but I heard it was alfalfa based so am slightly reluctant to do so. Mine have burgess supa guinea excel and love it.

Mine have the burgess supa guinea as well, they prefer it to the oxbow cavy cuisine

I think these two are the best dry feeds you can get in the uk

I heard the same about the science selecive being alfalfa based so i've also not tried it for that reason :)

mine are on science selective, and all 7 of mine like it.. they wouldnt touch the supa guinea excell after having this so ive had to convert them all back to science selective ::)

Mine get fad a mixture of Science Selective and Super Guinea mix, but most of the science selctive gets left so I think I will just feed Super guinea mix once my Science selective is completed.

I used to use Science selective but they went off it for some reason so feed pets @home pellets. They scoff the lot!

Yeah I was told that the Science Selective is only OK for baby piggies or convalescing piggies but not to feed as an all round staple as it is high in alfalfa and does the guineas no good. (I don't really understand that as some books recommend using alfalfa in place of hay - I'm confused 98) does anyone actually know if or why the alfalfa is not good).
