Ran out of pellets yesterday and went to two stores and couldnt find their usual Oxbow pellets. Decided to go with this one because it was between Kaytee or this brand and i was definitely not getting Kaytee.

Just curious what is your experience with this pellets?

Got mixed reviews from the piggies, the girls loved it and the guys tried it but didnt really like it that much. Then again my girls would eat rocks if they have to! lol

My pigs have all had Science Selective, it was the one the rescue recommended also. They've not tried the grain-free version yet.

My boys have the grain free version and LOVE them.
The girls have the normal ones and eat them but I’m not keen on how big the pellets are so I will be transitioning them to the grain free also.

Mine love the grain free. We didn't get on with the ordinary ones, they got them stuck over their teeth because of the holes. I ended up snapping each nugget in half to use them up but I didn't buy any more.

I don’t really get why they have holes, I was also worried about the teeth getting stuck!

Keep an eye on them @Guineautopia when they are eating these nuggets, my boars got quite distressed trying to work the nuggets off their teeth. When I mentioned it to Science Selective they inferred I was the only person with a problem. I know from this forum that my piggys are not the only ones this has happend to.

My Bramble also had that happen, she was extremely distressed and it took quite a fair bit of force from myself to break the nugget to get it off. I also ended up snapping all the biscuits in half after that then only buying the grainfree ones without holes.

Thanks for the warning guys :)
I also think the grain free smell more appitising, well I image they do from a piggie point of view ;)

and yes i noticed that they were very big! surprinsgly my smallest piggie Rose eats them with no problem lol

@Guanchy I ended up with a blister on my finger before I realised they snaped in half quite easily with a sharp knife. It took a long time to do the whole bag!

We started getting the grain free one 2 months ago and our Prince love it! The girls were hesitant at first but now I can see them eat it at times. But Prince is the one who consumes most of it. I don't think the nuggets are big..it's smaller compared to Burgess Excel Dual Care that we also feed them.
