So many of you remember Scrapper who was born at the rescue and had to be hand reared

He sadly recently lost his long term wife pig Lili. Here they are snuggling together in Lili's last few weeks

Scrapper was looking very forlorn so urgent action was needed. I tried him with a new arrival, Esther, a 5 year old sow, but they really didn't like each other. So plan B was to try him with a herd of 4 sows who had recently lost their boar.
I was a bit anxious as Dolly, the oldest sow really didn't like Scrapper when she met him before.
So this afternoon they all went in a run on the grass together and l anxiously watched and waited. Happily things went very smoothly and Dolly wasn't bothered at all by Scrappers presence.
Here they are as l collected them up to come inside

From left to right we have Bryony, Darci, Kylie, Dolly and Scrapper

Aren't they a lovely group!

So tonight they are in a temporary pen until l sort out their new home. Hopefully they will all be best buddies soon

So sorry to hear of the loss of your piggy. 🐾
Great that Scrapper had been accepted by such lovely ladies. ♥️♥️

Sorry to hear about Lili :( Huge hugs

So pleased Scrapper has found a new herd of Wives to live with, hope to see lots more pigtures over the forthcoming weeks x

Lucky Scrapper, I'm glad him and his new friends are getting on well. It's never nice to a lose a piggy but great to see the lonesome pig bond with new friends.
