i dont know if anyone can help for a while now my 2 guinea pigs they are in my room i know they dont have mites any other ideas i use tea bag bedding in the hutch

Someone else has a similar post about scratching you may want to look at. I would treat them with an anti fungal remedy. I use Panacur, which I get from rodentologists, but you can buy 'Bob Martin's spot on' or see your vet. If that doesn't work, maybe they have an allergy to the bedding.

I would wait a day or two and see whether the scratching subsides or gets worse; sometimes it can just be from having to adjust to drier indoors air or new bedding.

If you suspect skin parasites or a fungal problem (especially if there are bald patches or bloody scratches), then please see a vet.
Here is our members' map of recommended piggy savvy vets: https://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msid=204458758673513849635.0004e111354a528da0dbb&msa=0

Personally, I cannot recommend any Bob Martin products. Please do not home treat when you don't know exactly what you are up against.

As Wiebke says, avoid all Bob Martin products - there have been many reported cases by Vets that ingredients used are harmful to animals :(
The company are investigating - please do not put your animals at risk...seek good Vet advice if needed :)

they have been scratching for months now vet cant see any think wrong with them what about shampoos like medicated ones anyone has used before

i have notiest dandraff on millie thismorning white specks and she abit fur missing from her front feet at the side

The bald patches usually on the inner aspect is normal, piggies have bald patches behind their ears too.
I really would recommend on treatment from your Vet, it does sound like there could be a parasitic or fungal infection, easily treated with the correct shampoo. I think Nizoral is used but having no experience of this, can hope someone else can help more :)

found they have mites been talking to gwen again going to vets tomorrow going to try and get some stronghold off them thats what gwen uses

Stronghold I believe is a flea/tick treatment mainly for cats and dogs...you are dealing with a guinea pig who needs treatment suitable for her.
There have been previous incidents where piggies have had horrible reactions to things not prescribed for them and have cost a lot of money to nurse back to health (or far worse outcomes :() It would be around £30 or less to get your girl the treatment she requires and what is suitable for one, may not suit another. Please call your Vet :)

been to vets he can see anythink on them he has put mite treatment on them began with I cant remember what the call then if that does not work he going to try somethink else not for mites
