I've finally got round to building my c&c cage today but so far have only done the ground floor........now I'm stuck! :{

Any advice on how to build the second floor and the best access ramps to build for the piggies to get to it?

I have a 3 storey C&C cage - 6 grids long by 2 wide. For the floor/ceilings I just used grids cable tied together with correx on top for the floor. It did get a little droopy in the middle so I put wood through the ends of the grids from end to end (running along the long length) which helped it.

Hi interested in maiking a two storey or three storey C&C. Can you post a picture of yours? It sounds amazing! x

This is the cage from the front.

Each floor/ceiling I've made with grids aswell as the sides. The whole front opens one level at a time splitting in the middle. The top roof also opens (front 6 grids only).

Because of its length it tended to sag in the middle so I put long bits of wood just below the ceiling on each level. This photo is looking along the end to show you the wood :

I also used bits of wood across the way as my long bits weren't thick enough to support it fully as you'll see here :

I have 5 piggies in the top 2 levels and 3 in the bottom. The top 2 have a ramp modelled here by Smartie :

Hope this helps,
