I am so excited that I have now been allocated a beautiful little girl called Lemon for my Secret Santa:yahoo:

She is a long term resident bless her, so I hope she enjoys receiving as much as I am going to enjoy giving :nod:

Your match is supposed to be a secret, until at least your present is marked as received. I have only ever declared who I got once, and that was when the rescue told ne that my match had passed away. :)
I know it's hard to keep it quiet and, by all means, share your participation but we try to keep the details secret - you don't know who knows the rescue peeps!
 
Phew, this matching process is hard work! I'm spending a fair amount of time this weekend trying to get up to date :)
 
The first present has arrived! <3

Kentuckiana (aka. 'Ana') - Wheeker's Guinea Pig Rescue, Indiana.
Ana was found by the rescue owner on the side of the road. She thought that Ana was dead and wanted to give her a proper burial, but, in a huge surprise, Ana was still alive but barely breathing. She now has seizures that come along with no warning.

This huge box is for me? Wait... there's 2 boxes?!

Wow! I don't think I could eat this all, but I'll try! (This is a 25lb bag of food and a 50lb box of hay!)

Nikki - Texas Rustlers Guinea Pig Rescue, Texas
Nikki is a 5 year old female who was abandoned at a local dog shelter. She has chronic arthritis which requires daily medication.

Oh wow! All this for me?! It is a lot, so I'll share with my friends. There's supposed to be another box coming which is just for me, so I'm keeping that one!

Bellatrix - Auckland Cavy Care, Auckland, NZ
Bellatrix is a 4 year old female who came into rescue with a tumour on her nipple that her owners could not afford to remove. She has recently undergone a very difficult spay which has shown her ovaries are covered in cysts that cannot be removed.

Pip & Squeak- Tiny Paws Small Animal Rescue, Ontario, CAN
Pip & Squeak are 5 year old females who were surrendered to rescue when their owner didn't have time for them anymore.

Ooh, look at all these lovely presents! We even got a letter from some lovely boypigs - penpalpigs maybe?

Ruxin, Taco & Andre - Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, Florida.
These boys are 4 months old and were born in rescue. They have been waiting patiently for a new home since they were old enough.

What lovely gifts! We've each got a nice new blanket and there's 2 MORE boxes on their way too!

Apologies that I haven't updated this for a little while, I've been on-and-off ill for over a week, working full time and then coming home exhausted. I have also had to deal with a situation of harassment on the Facebook page from a very unpleasant person, who badgered me for their match and then threw it back in my face with insults. So I am back on track and I will show you what has arrived soon :)

Whoa! I'm so sorry that someone's been abusive, especially after organising such a good deed! Some people..........:rant:
Sorry also to read that you have been ill, and as for work, it does tend to get in the way of life! I hope you can have a rest soon and pamper yourself a bit. You certainly deserve it.

Trying not to go bonkers! Had no broadband since the 5th and it'll be the 19th before we get any so keeping things up to date is proving very difficult. I will answer any messages with regards to gift arrivals when I manage to sneak online. The Project appears to be going well and I even got a gift of my own (which I insisted that no-one did, someone didn't listen! )
 
There's never a convenient moment for the broadband to go down (or other email/tech problems), but somehow it tends to be at worst time... happened to us a while ago, just when we needed some important information regarding my son's new job. I really feel for you, I would hate for mine to go down for that long, on top of all the other stuff you've had to deal with recently, but it's great that the project is going well. :hug:
