i've finally got my matches through for the secret Santa. I'm a little confused, they have a list of things hay, food & these little heating pads etc. I thought the idea was to put In surprises.

You can send them whatever you would like to send them or whatever you can afford. They just include a few items that the rescue uses all of the time that are highly useful to include if you wanted to. You are free to choose what you send to your matched pigs.

Yep, that's the plan! It's all covered on the Secret Santa information sheet. We ask the rescues to send us information on what they are most in need of, as, for example, the rescues may only use a specific kind of nuggets, disinfectant or hay: we have a rescue in the USA where the owner is highly allergic to timothy hay of any kind so asks for different items.
The box is yours to do with as you wish. You can purchase from the wishlist, you can get one item from there and then make a box of goodies, or you can make it with your own ideas. This year, as I have a senior pig who enjoys 'posh hay' and can't eat a lot of harder foods, I ordered him a bale of green oat hay as a special treat, then I'm making him a box with my own choices.
