I was about to pick up Cocoa, and my hand was under him. Something spooked him and he tried to run. He flopped over on his side and kicked for a second then he got back up. He kept eating like nothing happened. Did he just trip over my hand, or did I give him a seizure? I'm worried.

Wow. I don't have experience in seizures, but judging by how quickly he recovered, he may have just tripped, or his legs buckled? I'm sure someone with more knowledge will post, try not to fret too much in the meantime!

Ok. I hope it was just a fall :) thanks for answering so fast!

It is impossible to tell of course, but my guess is that he may rather have tripped, especially if it stays a mysterious one-off.

I agree that it sounds like he just tripped and panicked.
However if it was a seizure of some sort you will know fairly quickly, as seizures are sadly rarely isolated incidents.
So if he seems fine within himself and you don't see any more seizures, then you will know for sure that he just fell.

Agree with the above posts. Piggies can be quite ungainly when they stumble (often little legs get caught up in themselves!), then they panic, which can often look quite alarming to us as they try to 'right' themselves... but yes, do keep an eye out to see if this happens again but it sounds like it might just've been a mini freak-out!

Tiny is right, piggies aren't always as graceful as they tell us they are- I've seen Godfrey flop onto his bed during an overenthusiastic popcorn:)

Just an update, Cocoa is fine :) I think his lil legs just got tangled up haha. Not the most graceful, that's for sure!
