A couple months ago my piggie started losing weight, and had to get is teeth tremed as one had broken, since then he has been getting better and regaining some weight, I've also been giving him more greens and fruits.
this morning I cleaned the cage and gave him a bath, as I've done many times before. noticed he was starting to get some diarria, and gave him planty of hay, and he actually ate some of it (he doesn't really like hay that much, and he does always have some in the cage), and he was running around my room all happy as I was cleaning the cage.
I went out to buy some things and when I got back home he was laying down on the cage, he was no strainght to stand by himself and has been twisting and turning in my lap.
What can I do for him? Is there a chance he'll survive?

Hi and welcome!

Which country are you in? Please contact an emergency/out-of-hours vet or contact for advice re. bringing your piggy in asap. You can get the contact number from your normal vet's answering machine if they are no longer open.

Whether your piggy will make in view of having both diarrhea and seizures, I cannot say. I am keeping my fingers firmly crossed!

Here are step-by-step tips on how to best hand feed; this does NOT replace a vet visit!

Ouch! Not quite as easy! There may be no weekend cover, in which case the best thing is to keep him as quiet, comfy and warm, but not hot as possible.

Top him up with hand feed and water, in small portions only about one third or half a syringe full to make sure that the guts keep going. Do so as much as he will take in go and adjust the frequency to the amount that he will take. Stay off all fresh food until the poos have been firm again for at least 24-48 hours.

PS: You can add your country to your details by clicking on your username on the top bar, then go personal details and scroll down to location. That will help us adjust any advice to what is likely available to you.
