Self Barbering?

Hi everyone. Today I found out that my half a year old piggie has serious bald spots on three of its legs. He does quite a lot of self cleaning but he didnt have these spots before and the bald spots just suddenly appeared this week. Some parts of the bald area looks brown and we are not sure if its the color of the skin or hair or something else. The bald area has almost no hair left (you can see the skin clearly). We are really worried for him but due to quarantine, it is difficult to bring him to a vet now. Please let me know if this is a emergency. He is still really energetic, eats a lot and poops fine. His fur in general is not loosing hair.

Errr only the first picture looks a bit strange to me but the last two pictures are normal feet who don’t normally have hair there.
Unless, like you say, it had hair there before in the back feet and it’s suddenly gone I wouldn’t worry about the back feet. Keep and eye on the front paw in the first pic - perhaps take multiple pictures over time and if it gets worse then decide what to do.

I agree, the back feet look normal.
The front legs can get bald patches as they use them to wash themselves. As long as there aren’t itch bald patches caused by mites or fungal infections, then it’s not concerning.

Hey thank you for you reply! Sorry about the quality of pictures, he moves a lot so all of them are blurry. I will take more pictures over time and observe for sure

Ok thank you so much, I will continue to observe him. He does live with another guinea pig buddy and that one also has a tiny bald patch on the front paw. But we observed the other one over the last few weeks and the paw seems healthy and it's just from washing himself probably. We will continue to post pictures of this one. He washes his face VERY often so that could probably be why.
