Well hubby and I had a holiday in America from 25 Feb to 9 March. Since we arrived on 9 March, apart from picking up the piggies after we landed in Heathrow, we are just in the house for almost a week now. We don't have any signs/symptoms as far as we know, just occasional sneezing and coughing.

Hubby has a weak immune system since he had salmonella while he was in RAF in the 80's (new chef didn't cook chicken properly and 30 of them got salmonella). That triggered his arthritis and all other health problems associated with it. He got a good pension from the MOD after that because of early retirement (he was in his mid-20's that time). This is the reason why he wants to eat as much chicken as he can, according to him. 🤣

Anyway, at the moment, we are opting not to go out to shop and just do it online. We got out yesterday just to put petrol in the car and buy a takeaway meal from the Chinese chippy. Tomorrow we have to go take our car for a service we booked and see my in-laws while we wait for our car.

Hubby and I are quite lucky we live in a small village out of nowhere in North Wales. We rarely get any illness here and quite isolated from the town. That seems to be a good thing for us during this current situation.

I hope taking your car and seeing your relatives goes well tomorrow! Let us know what happens, of course.

Living in a small village is probably a bit if an advantage right now, yeah xD Stay safe, to you and your husband! Xx

Did you enjoy America?

Thank you. xx

We always go to America 2x a year. We like going to California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona. Loads of places to see around there. We named our piggies out of those places. Sierra (Sierra Nevada), Rocky (Red Rock Canyon) and Vegas (obviously Las Vegas). We are supposed to go to Calgary, Canada on June though to see Banff, but we are not sure if it will go ahead because of Covid19.

Hope you and your family are safe too. xx

Hope no illness develops during your self - isolation

Hope you had a great holiday anyway @anyar.dris , your piggy names are always brilliant :) Hope you and your hubby are both ok x
Thank you! xx And we did have a nice holiday. Although one weekend it was snowing in Carson City, Nevada so we just stayed in the hotel. And we also avoided buffets in Las Vegas because of the virus.

We are still both okay. 👍

We went to Nissan earlier for a service that we booked 2 months ago. They have to give us a courtesy car coz it'll last the whole afternoon and the guy hubby talked to can only book us for a car that long. So we arrived there 10am, signed all the papers, they gave us the key for the other car. When we got to the car, it was manual. We drive automatic because hubby has arthritis and he has difficulty driving a manual now. So we went back inside, told the lady there. She ask if hubby told the guy he talked to that he needs an auto car, hubby says no and the guy didn't ask for preference. Also, because since it's a Motability car, they should provide a like-for-like car. Well she said if it's not requested, they default to a manual car. 🙄 Anyway, so we need to go back again on Thursday next week to do all this again. 🤷‍♀️

How are you feeling? No symptoms I hope, to be honest, you have as much chance of contracting it over there as here.

Someone ill at work today which has really p!55ed me off. If you have any kind of sore throat stay at home. Very annoyed as have elderly parents who are in risk categories with health

Thankfully we don't have any symptoms. We did a lot of precautions when we were there anyway. But when at the airport returning home, you can easily notice the coughing, sneezing, etc. There was a guy at the back of us in the plane that kept on coughing and hubby heard them that they just came from a cruise. 🤷‍♀️

Looks like our holiday to Canada on June will be cancelled. PM Trudeau just announced boarders are closed apart from Canadians and residents. Hopefully we get a full refund.

How is isolation going? Just wanting to check in, it's been a little bit over here. Are you and your husband doing okay? Finding ways to pass the time?

How are your piggies doing as well?

We are both okay. We are quite fine with this isolation since hubby is self-employed and works from home anyway, and I'm just a housewife. No big changes for us apart from not being able to go to shops and restaurants whenever we want to. We also can't visit or meetup with friends. At least now we can catch up with all our tv recordings! 🤣

Piggies are fine and they don't know what is happening to the world. They do know we can get grass now and demands to give them more! 😂
