My baby gp has a broken thigh so has been put in a cage on her own away from our bigger baby GP to minimise her movement.

I am concerned that they will become used to their own company over the next two weeks so was planning to let them spend some time together each day in the smaller cage.

Do you think I should rotate the cage they meet up in?

Advice please

I'd rather you keep the cages side by side so they can stay in constant contact that way instead of swapping them around for as long as the bone needs healing.

If you want to stage a little reintroduction afterwards, you can do so on neutral ground at first while you clean out and neutralize the big cage. Neutral ground can be anything from the bathtub with a towel at the bottom to the kitchen or bathroom floor!

unfortunately I don't have the room to do that or that would be my preferred option. At present I have little cage on top of big cage. I could put them both on the floor at night so they are next to each other maybe.

THis is how they are now, as you can see the table they live on is not wide enough for two cages.

Do you have a piece of board that you could put on the top of the table to make it bigger as a temp measure?
