Seperated Boar

Hi I have three boars there about 10mths old they all got on fine until 4 weeks back when one of the trio constantly chased and bitten the quieter submissive one he became withdrawn and stayed in one place for most of day if he moved to roam around he was attacked by the dominate pig.I have now placed a bar down cage and now the bullied pig seems happy and relaxed he now popcorns etc he still will go to bars where the dominate one will come and sniff each other and chatter,after few days I put him back in with other two but straight away the dominate one attacked him so he back in his side my query is he gets on with other pig so is it ok to put him in with him for short periods or will that eventually cause its own problems,or should I get bullied pig a sow mate or just leave it as it is for now would he be missing out on contact company :/

Baby boar trios have unfortunately a fall-out rate of around 90% during the hormonal teenage months before they reach adulthood. Even with adults the fail rate in trios is over 50%. Sadly shops and breeders still persist in selling baby boar trios despite of that.

We can sadly not recommend any of the Manchester rescues.
