am getting worried now, my mum lives close to river at potter heigham, and my old auntie and uncle too, they are in their 80's. should i call my mum?

might be a good idea. They have apparantly evacuated Salthouse aswell as Yarmouth now. My friend lives in Walcott which is inbetween the two, I have got to have my mobile next to me all night in case she needs to urgently bring her animals accross.

Are you ok Cheryl?

I'm fine, I'm about 20 miles away from the coast so we should be ok here. I am just worried about the people I know who live on the coast and all their animals. Julie may still bring her rabbits and piggies over to me tonight yet. I am still really concerned about spice and honeys mummy, I have offered to look after her pigs but i think they may have left already :'( I am terrified at the thought of the animals that wont survive this :'(

Anyone know if its affecting Hunstanton? Peter's elderly aunt and uncle live there. I'm on the other side of the country in Liverpool and feel really helpless, we don't get that bad weather here, think we get sheltered by the pennines and the Welsh hills!

Thinking of you all, the wind is bad here so I guess it is worse in Norfolk!

The pigs are in in a makeshift C&C cage
Thank god

Thanks Cheryl!

Thats good news :) I am glad you and the pigs are all ok O0

Hope everyone is ok, how are things looking today?
Please take care.
Anne. :)

have just finished a night shift in Care home in SheringhamITS WINDY OUT THIER! ok here thou (Home is about 15 miles from sea) the sea was 'boiling'
looks like the floodwarnings are easing for G Yarmouth But their is flooding in the Broads

Just been down to the Haven Bridge

It's sooo close to the top some parts of the paveways have flooded and there a crack thats in my step-dads yard (where he works) which is leaking water.

Southtown Rd has now been shut off 'cause of the water.

Doesn't look like anything major is happening. As usual the media are there waiting for people to loose their lives! ::) When they do that you know that things will never turn out that bad in the end!

:)

Yeah they are.
I just went downstairs and we have a message from the environmental people.
They are on like a big step so not on ground level.
I just started crying and they said dont be so stupid all your worried about is guinea pigs - there could be people dying.
To top it off - tomorrow I'm going to dads and have to leave the pigs all weekend until sunday night. My grandad will be cheacking on them.
I'm in tearss now . #
:'( :'( :'( :'(

Oh Bless you 0:) Hope you're OK. Just ignore the b******s that say guineas (or any other animals) are not as important as humans :tickedoff:

Animals are better than some humans! I think I prefer pigs to some people, at least they dont lie or backstab! :D So is everyone ok in Norfolk then! Usually these things happen when we least expect it and not when we are waiting for it! :) Media make me laugh, bet they are gutted now that nothing really major has happened!

Hopefully!
Where are you? (i'm not very good at geography!)

Forgot to say - I'm in Lowestoft. Looks like they got it wrong again! It was meant to miss Yarmouth and really hit Lowestoft badly - turned out to be the other way around. Don't know if you're all keeping up with this but apparently there's another danger sign this afternoon 3pm to 7pm, possibly starting over Lincolnshire at 3pm.

Good luck everyone & don't forget the piggies (I know you won't!) O0 :)

I'm 10 Minutes from Lowestoft. We watched the sea on webcam and it wasn't that bad thankfully. Like you said, turned out to be the other way.

We escaped..Although we were never in danger...

Appearntly the sea levels were ment to rise by 20CM and they didnt...

Did anywhere actually get flooded?

my ma in law had a few call outs to get the old folks to their designated hospitals and schools, she was shot to bits by the morning!

WELL DONE EAST ANGLIAN AMBULANCE CREW!
