I need Help In Sexing my guinea pigs. I was told they are female, but after looking at them. They both look like males

Yep both boys and so the mounting etc is dominance behaviour as they are in a new home. If possible please can you remove the hay that is sticking out of the second boy's penis.

Yes both boys and I agree the mounting is them establishing whose in charge. You will need to keep an eye on things like hay getting on their bits :)

As other's have said - both look like boys :)

As they are boys there are a few things you will need to do that you wouldn't have to if they were female:

- regularly check their bits and if necessary remove/clean them - hay/shavings are the biggest culprits (just be sure you know what you are pulling out/cleaning first before you do so)
- check and clean their grease glands - the grease gland is situated where their tail would be if they had one and will become clogged up with a greasy substance. I use swarfeaga on my boys grease glands - rub on and leave for 10 mins then wash off - depending on how dirty the gland is you may need to repeat this step again or wash the gland more regularly.

I also clean out my boys anal sacks from time to time (like every couple of months) - not everyone agrees with this and some think it's un-necessary, however my boys are big on dragging their bottoms along the cage floors and so if you could see what is cleaned out, you know why i choose to do this....it's a messy job, but it causes no pain to them and all will happily sit while i do this - it takes a couple of mins to do and means i can give their bit's a good check over to make sure there are no problems.
