CharlottiesPiggies

After speaking to a couple of members of this forum, some have said from pics that I have sent them they dont think all my litter are female as first thought.

I am getting panicky as the clock is ticking to seperate any males if I have them.

I will post some photos asap and I will appreciate feedback, when replying please say the number of the photo and your verdict, I believe I have two female and one male, but I want to make sure.

All my babies undercarriages look like this which leads me to believe they are female however I am still not sure.

sex of piggies

i would say female, gentle put a finger either side of private area and gently squeeze to see if anything pops out to say hello.
if nothing pops out you have girls, if however something does pop out you have boys.
have you a friend who is piggy savy or pop into your vet to make sure, maybe the vet nurses could sex them for you, even a rescue could sex them for you.
good luck, sorry i was not much help:(:(:( hugs to you little furries whom i am digging furiously to get tooxx>>>xx>>>xx>>> hoping this link will help you or confuse you further http://www.cavyspirit.com/sexing.htm good luck!

yeah I have tried every website, I have heard that squeezing to see if anything pops out isnt always a sure fire thing, i mean they all look the same and when I squeeze nothing comes out

I just find it hard to believe I have three girls, I will take photos tommorrow morning and show you all.

Confuddled!

I know this feeling very well, i'm led (by the squeezing theory) that all my 4 are boys, trouble is all my babies undercarriages look like that pic too. Ooh its to be hoped we work this out soon. Mine are 8 days old, is there a good age to be able to tell more effectively ?/ (sorry for hijacking your thread Merry_and_Rosie) :{

I agree that pic looks female but i wouldn't bet on it without being able to apply pressure either side

pictures would be the best bet :)

Do you have a local rescue or another piggy savvy person living near you? They could help sex the little piggies.
Yes, the young one are always difficult to tell apart. You've got to week three with the piggies - by then they are quite well developed and with a little pressure you would definately get a "response" if it's a boy.

yeah I went to Vals at April Lodge in Sandwich and she believes they are all female due to their bits being the same and not being able to squeeze anything.

The above pic I posted was a females undercarriage from a website, they arent my guinea pigs hehe.

I am gonna try and get some over the next couple of days, depending on when mums around to help me.
