Any help appreciated with sexing these two babies.

First three photos are piglet 1 and the second three are piglet 2.

Hi

The first baby shows a pointy knob and a good view the female 'keyhole' feature, which is closed by a fleshy flap arrangement when not in season; you can see the fleshy seal peeking through clearly in picture 3. That is definitely a sow.

The second baby displays a clearly pointy, angular knob sitting in a V groove in picture 4; the others don't show any further details of the inside of the slit arrangement, so going by just two identifiers, it is very likely a sow.
You will have to pry the slit gently apart in order to hopefully reveal the fleshy seal that only sows have. Depending on the angle, it is not always easily visible on a photo.

Here is a reference picture to show what I am talking about:

Thank you so much for you reply. I feel much better now. I will double check the second piggy as you've explained. I really do appreciate the detailed reply!

The more people can learn how to sex piggies properly, the better. We want to encourage as many people to try themselves and to learn what exactly to look out for.
It is generally a bit trickier when you have two of the same and are looking for differences or if you have babies where the normal variance in appearance is further from the textbook average and gendering is therefore more difficult.

Here is our Sexing Guide with all the relevant pictures and explanations for all ages: Illustrated Sexing Guide
