Hi everyone,
Does anybody use a vet bed in their cage for their gunieas and if so are they better than bedding?
I was thinking of getting one for my piggies as the carefresh bedding I'm using atm is quite costly and as the piggies are playing loads of the bedding ends up on the floor unfortunately.
From researching up on the vet bed i have found that it helps to keep piggies warm aswel as having the benefit of absorbing wee.
I'm unsure on some aspects of what it offers though:
1. How often would i have to wash the Vet Bed (I have 3 piggies) ?
2. In the summer will the vet bed make the piggies too hot ?
3. Will i have to use bedding in the cage alongside the vet bed or can i just leave the bedding out of the cage ?
4. Where can i purchase a vet bed from other than ebay ?
Overall the pet vet appears to offer a great alternative from the carefresh bedding I'm currently using as it will offer less mess when cleaning too whilst leaving the piggies happy thats what I'm hoping for
Thankyou in advance
