I have relented - it's that time again to bath the dog! He's a funny brown colour, rather than the white that he used to be. So far, at the age of 9, we're averaging 1 bath every 3 years!

I spent ages yesterday trawling around pet shops in search of a suitable shampoo for my mutt. I eventually found one, that ticked all the boxes - as natural as possible, hypoallergenic, not tested on animals, paraben free, and not too stinky!

I got this one...

My question is, is it safe to use on the pigs do you reckon? I'm all out of GG stuff at the moment, and this is a huge bottle for a dog that is so infrequently bathed!

Failing that, I'm almost tempted to try it myself!

I cant see anything in it that would be harmful to a guinea pig, perhaps dilute some in a jug of water and use a little of it?

Someone with more knowledge than me might know better

x

Interesting question :)
I confess to having actually washed my dirty boys (piggies) bottoms in washing up liquid as they get sooo greasy, fairy soft hair after and shifts those horrible greasy knots they get - wouldn't recommend as an all over shampers, stick to the GG for that.
Maybe try a patch test first on an area they can't lick etc. I always do this before using anything on mine :)

I think what I'm going to do, is test it on me first(!), then the dog, then maybe big dave - I dunno what's going on with his hair lately, he seems really greasy
