My guinea pigs have fur mites and have had their first ivermectin injection last week a due another one this Friday. Both boys are really needing a bath so I'm going to order of gorgeous guineas, I was wondering what shampoo people would suggest for mites?

My vet tells me the ivermec cannot be purchased over the counter, but people tell me it can? Is it possible to get hold of ivermec? It would be so much easier then ringing up the vet for it!
