Hi just wondering which shampoo everyone uses on their guinea pigs?

iv just been using a pets at home one but was wondering if a tea tree shampoo would be safe to use on guinea pigs as i use one on my horses and dog and its really good for their skin and coat?
 
Yep, www.gorgeousguineas.com is aimed right at lovely little piggies.

Personally I wouldn't go near anything else, after discovering the delights of EasiRinse, Posh 'n' Go, Just for Boars...
 
I use GG too, I would say that tea tree would be too strong for their sensitive skins.
 
I hadnt heard of gorgeous guineas before. just been on their website n they do a shampoo with tea tree in it especially for guinea pigs so i am definately going to order a bottle. i think I'm also going to order a bottle of the posh n go.
 
Gorgeous Guineas sell some really wonderful piggy lotions and potions, I especially love their Melts, and the Foot Ointments are great for pigs that have dry feet.
I could never use any other products for my piggies.
 
Off topic but how do you post a word as a link without posting the whole link? for example [*]melt[/*] to go straight to the page? A lot quicker than my way!
 
Hi Rebecca, I use gorgeous guineas, I think it's called Five oils, my daughter has borrowed my big bottle at the moment (for her piggies!) so I can't check. I also have a trial size lice shampoo from them as well, just in case. I have not had to use this one though yet fortunately. xx

Type the word, highlight it, click the hyperlink sign (globe with a chain link - the tab is under the white smilies face in advanced reply) and paste the code.

Or I find it much easier to type the HTML around a word! But it doesn't work here. :(
 
I barely bath mine, but when i do i bath them in Sainbury's Basic Baby Shampoo. Says it's mild and gentle for little softies :)) It makes their fur all shiny and soft

Pampered Piggies website sells some of their products as well as loads of other goodies for your piggies.
