I thought you would all like to meet my oldies Shane and Squirrel!
They are 7 now, so getting on in years and enjoying a nice quiet life!
They arent kept together as Squirrel isnt neutered, but they chat happily through thier bars and go out to grass side by side too. When they are having cuddles I often have them both on my knee and they dont bother, but obviously I would never leave them alone together - poor old devils would probably have heart attacks at their age!

Anyway, Shane first as she is the queen! I love this pigglie, she chats almost constantly x)

And now Squirrel, he is a bit shy, so not as many of him! He's a real old gent now, and likes to be left alone!

I havent worked out how to edit my messages yet, so appologies for spelling mistakes! I also forgot to add this pic of Shane to my post, love this one!

Shane is gorgeous with her different sides!

Yep, as piggies never stop being able to make babies or get pregnant, it isn't a good idea... But yours seem very happy to have each other to chat to and occasionally snuggle up to on your lap! A great age!

Absolutely Wiebke, theres no way I would let my guys be alone together! Occasionally Shane will tart at Squirrel in the summer, but he just looks at her, then goes back to whatever he was doing! For an ex stud boar he really isnt interested! lol!

I would just like to say they dont stay in those pens 24/7, they do come out for cuddles and for a walk about etc. In the summer they go out in side by side puppy pens (I think you call them C&C pens?) for part of the day too :-)

Shanes grandma was a semi long haired black and white, and she had almost identical markings to Shane!I love Squirrels stripe too, its changes colour with the seasons!

wow they are so sweet and they are a good age! what cuties

Aww they are real cuties and what a fantastic age, you are clearly a very good piggy mum! x)

awwww thanks all, you are all so kind! I seem to have a knack for longevity with animals, my old pony, Sunny, was 36 when he went, my superstar old albnio (PEW) boar Jim was 11 when he passed (and he was a rescue!) and my last cat and dog were both 14/15.... Still, there have been many taken too young along the way, so perhaps they are leaving the years they didnt get to have for others to use?

Ive just been to pop the kids to bed and Shane is flat out in her hay :-) Squirrel is as usual using his Hifi as an armchair (and toilet!) so that will be fun to sort out tomorrow!xx

Gorgeous piggles x) x)

Thank you :-) Ill get some outdoor and cuddle pigtures when I have an extra hand :-) I do luff my pigglies!

awww! i have a Squirrel too. mine is a sow and looks exactly like a Squirrel.

Yay! Another Squirrel! My Squirrel was a tiny little yellow brillo pad when he was a baby, and then my cousin had him and named him....she had 3 others (all boars) off me, but she didnt look after them and when I took them back from her, one had passed away, one had to be helped on his way over the rainbow bridge (the cat had attacked him and his wounds left untended) and the other 2 - Squirrel and Gussy were thin as rakes and covered in mange. Gussy passed away 2 years ago when a sudden virus wiped out all my piggies except Shane and Squirrel, so he has been through it rather.

Both my oldies have the most kissable little noses and piggie lips, Shane quite likes smooches, but Squirrel gets very cross at too much lovely dovey stuff! haha! x
