I was looking at Penny sleeping but then I noticed her breathing seems irregular. It's a warmer afternoon so I just turned the AC on and my fan on a faster setting. Penny is still acting normal otherwise; eating okay, drinking, and she was even running laps this morning. Do you think her breathing is because she is warm?

Hot weather can be a strain on the heart. It can change to either heaving or very shallow breathing.
