i have taken on piggy from a friend who was given it, she had fleas and was sent to the vet and shaved she is currently staying with me inside ( yes away from her piggy friends :( ) because she still needs some more jabs and i dont want my outher piggies to get fleas. but even though shes inside shes constanly shivering so how can i keep my shaved piggy warm?:laluot_03:

Why was she shaved?! A good shampoo with some lice treatment and some wormer would have done! Poor girl, you need to take extra care of her, give her plenty of bedding, towels fleeces etc to snuggle up to, and even put her cage on a heat pad/hot water bottle.

the previous owner had treated her badly and her hair was so matted you couldnt brush it ( shes a long haired piggy) i have a hot water bottle which she is snugggling on now:)p:)

Awww lots of blankets and hay she can snuggle in ... sending lots of love and healing vibes to your little one :) x

Poor girl - a snugglesafe (microwaveable heat pad), a warm (but not hot) hot water bottle wrapped in a towel, lots of soft fleece or hay to snuggle in will help.

What kind of treatment is she on?

PS: Please prewash any fleece to get the softeners out or she'll be sitting in her own pee.

Is she bald shaved, or just short coat shaved? If she has fur she is more likely to be quivering in terror. She may have been hurt when someone tried to comb her and isn't used to an indoor environment.

Agree with the others, snugglepads, lots of good quality hay and little fleece blankets for her to lie on/under etc.
She sounds as though she's been through a huge trauma, poor little thing :(

If you cut a head hole and leg holes out of a sock she can wear it as a jumper :)) I know someone who had to do that when her longhaired piggie literally dropped ALL her hair overnight!

Oh the poor little thing.... must've been so so uncomfortable and itchy :(:0
Best of luck for her, whee send lots of healing wheeeeeeeeks and loves XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
I'm sure her beautiful quiff will grow back eventually :)
Don't let her too close to the radiator :{

Yes a soft fluffy sock with holes cut out for head and legs works well, it will keep her warm and stop her hurting herself if she's still scratching. Good luck hope she gets better soon :)
