just been to the local county shop to get snowflake softchip and they don’t stock it!☹️
is there anything i can get from pets at home that will be suitable for them for a week? I'm gutted!

Hi are you happy with the snowflake wood shavings? Just looking for some for their hay tray. Have LFJ Millers wood shavings but i don't recommend them- dusty and have big wood pieces.

if anyone can put my mind at ease i would really appreciate it, i’m now reading that pine shavings aren’t suitable for piggies and i’m freaking out..

i bought this as recommended by the farm shop for guinea pigs, are they definitely safe? i would never forgive myself if i used something that could harm them.

iv never tried them! just going based on everyone’s recommendations!

Shavings are fine - they are kiln dried so don’t worry about that.

However what does concern me about the pack you have got is that it says ‘fine’ - this may mean the particles are very small. I don’t know though because I have never used this brand

i was told to get these over the abousie or whatever its called as she said that was really fine

It’s so hard to tell from a picture as there isn’t anything you can use as size comparison.

If the person you spoke to gave the impression that this is bigger than aubiose then it will be ok.
If it does look fine then cover it with hay.

she said that they have guinea pig owners who buy that over oubiose so fingers crossed!🤞🏻

I’ve used Littlemax and Bedmax shavings before and they’re both fine to use. The only difference is that Bedmax are much bigger flakes x
when you used littlemax, can you remember if they had a kind of ‘smokey’ aroma to them? x
