was watching my 2 week old one eyed baby this morning who i had called shaylea, i was so sure it was a girl ::) anyway this morning i am positive i saw it on it's mums back, when i got it out and checked i could see it's willy :embarassed: should i be taking him away from his mum so young and especially with him being ill? do they really get randy at 2 weeks old?

whats strange the other 3 babies i have who are now about 7 weeks, there is one who the vets can still not sex? 4 different vets have sexed them but not one of them are sure what baby number 3 is.... :-\ there doesn't seem to be a willy :embarassed: but apparently it doesn't look like a female :-\ poor piggy ,hope it doesn't get a complex all this playing with it's bits ;D

I know how you feel, Barney is 11 days old and I saw him do it to Pepper today too. Have seen him rumbling for a few days now and thought it was cute at first (mini pigs look cute doing big pig things), but am now worried. I'm sure I've seen some threads on here where people have had to seperate them at 2 weeks old because of it, but don't take my word for it ;)

I have read some threads that say 3 weeks is ok, but i don't know about 2 weeks i'll leave it for someone with more experience to answer that one. I wonder why there is only one the vets can't sex ? maybe it a birl (boy and girl) ;D sorry couldn't resist lol

yea it's a bit of both............ 3 out of the 4 vets reckon it's a boy but they can't find it's bits ;D taken it to vets again on friday when one eye goes for it's check up( have to call one eye shay now ;D)or big boy :embarassed:

Male guineas can produce from around thirty days of age (around 4 weeks 2 days), so should ideally be seperated at three weeks. I have heard people taking the males out at two weeks but I do not advise this, same as some people leave the males with the mother for the full four weeks but they are taking a risk. The longer they can stay with their mother the better, seperate at three weeks. O0

Oh dear, what do you do with the piggie of unknown sex at three weeks if still unsure? Poor piggie!

Keep it seperate from any other guineas untill your sure or put it with a neutered guinea. O0
