She is six weeks old and I've only had her for four days. I was feeling pretty stressed out because her and her sister clearly have some type of skin issue (ringworm, mites, fungal infection, not sure yet, will see the vet in 3 days) and I noticed it the day I brought them home. I wanted to start off on a more positive note, but I will do whatever it takes to help them. I was feeling really anxious about the whole thing and decided to try to give them some cuddles because piggy cuddles always help with stress. They are still quite skittish in their cage, but they calm down a lot when I hold them. Hexi got really comfortable while I was holding her today and almost dozed off. It was so adorable, I almost cried. They really are such sweet little creatures!

Aw, how cute is that ❤️ be very careful, wash your hands and try not to scratch any part of your body while you are handling er, ringworm can be caught by humans x

How wonderful. I had two beautiful male cats in the 80’s both neutered and thereafter adopted pickle a female who turned up in an ambulance in a hospital where I worked. I took her home thinking it was best to settle her in a separate room before introducing her to the boys. Within
A few hours they were all snuggled up on the bed together as if they had known each other for years. I believe animals sense when they are loved and cared for which is evident on this forum. Congratulations and of course do wash you hands and arms after handling. But aren’t we all doing that during the pandemic anyway 🤪

What a sweet story! Lol pandemic aside, I am very used to washing my hands and generally being careful around them since I am actually pretty allergic to guinea pigs. It's a real pain, but it's worth it 😊
