I have a white piggie. And he sheds so bad.He don't scratch or have thin or bald spots he just sheds like say a dog would. Is it normal for them to shed.

My himilayan sheds like mad too and nothing can be found wrong with him...maybe its a course white hair thing. Do the ends of the hairs have any signs of 'dandruff' or skin on them? Thats a sign of fungal infections.

But of course it could also be the weather because its getting hotter.

Shedding is very normal, and it is normal for some pigs to shed a lot more than others. Of my ten piggies, only two do not shed at all - but then they are long-haired! All my others shed to varying degrees.

No there is nothing on the end of the hair. Thanks I was hoping it was normal.

All my piggies shed, but they are all shorthaired breeds.

George sheds the worst for me and he is mostly white! It does get better at times though. I never remember to put a fleece under him and after a cuddle I'm furrier than him :))
