So me and hubby have come to an agreement that a shed is the best way our guinea pigs are going to get the much needed space that need .
At present I have today brought out pregnant girl Hazle in and put her in the cage evie had . We was going to make a little indoor c&c type cage with wood but space is really lacking with 4 young children and a very small house . A present evie and her baby's are in a baby travelcot that there absolutely loving that have lots of space but the down side we don't aha ..
So what are the main things I need to do or get to make a shed the best it can be . I will have to decide it 3 ways as I'm wanting to keep my baby male .so we're have 3 hutches In there :) thank you x

Have a look at other members shed set ups is the best idea. If you search for “shed”it should bring up threads.

I'll try find measurements its a big shed I think 10f by 8ft not shore z

I'll hook out some photos later. To make a shed an " all seasons" shed you need to be able to stop it getting too hot in summer and too cold in winter. I must admit, I'm really grateful my shed has windows so I can get plenty of ventilation when the weather is warm enough.

My shed is insulated and has electricity so I can keep the guineas warm enough in winter.

Wow looks good :) we are going to get electric connected up . But for time being lots of insulation and it has windows so plus on hot days :)

Exciting. Look forward to pics. I find set ups so interesting. My rabbits have a shed and run set up with insulation and opening windows and even electricity for those cold winter evenings.

Good luck!

We have 2 windows and will connect electric up as it's nice and close to back door :) . I'm just having a look through setups I'm liking the like shelf setup as I'll have a bour that needs separating on Tuesday

Are you having the boars plums removed
No I'm not my only reason for this at the moment is I want to see if Hazle our pregnant girl has a bour if she doesn't I think this will be our only option other than adopting another bour but it would be nice for him to be with the girls so if it come to it we will have him neutered when he as it the right age

I'm just sorting the last section with everything then I'll get some pics . I need to buy lots of toys ect its looking rather plain in there but plenty of room i hope :)

Well this is how far we have got :)
