Tomorrow Shereen is having her ovaries removed. She has been bleeding on and off for months. All tests show she does not have a uti although she has been treated with antibiotics several times. The problem seems to be her fatty lumps. She is covered in them and the vets say if they remove them she will not have enough skin let to sew her up. They were tested and are just fat and nothing serious. After all the investigations it seems removing her ovaries may stop the bleeding. I am so worried. The operation is big enough anyway but all the lumps make it even more difficult. Shereen is a very nervous and sad little piggy. She was clearly mistreated and has had at least one litter which is made her an odd shape. She seems to really have suffered. I have had her for over a year now and she is still very shy and scared, flinching when touched. I really hope tomorrow goes okay. Fingers crossed.

Fingers firmly crossed! My 5 year old tiny Cariad had an emergency spay earlier this year, as in addition to a grossly enlarged, fluid and lump filled womb, she also had a couple of nasty looking ovarian cysts. She's pulled through really well without even losing weight, so I hope that all goes well for Shereen tomorrow.

I'll be thinking of you both tomorrow, and will keep all my "get well vibes" focussed on Shereen.

Fingers firmly crossed for tomoorow, I will be thinking of you sweetie, get in touch if you need to, you know where I am xx

Huge hugs Gigi, you are doing the best for her and that is all we can ever do. Hope all goes well for beautiful Shereen tomorrow. Love from us both and a piggies cuddle from Miss Moo x x

Noodles was spayed due to a huge blood loss that turned out to be ovarian cysts - she was literally bouncing around a couple of hours after the op. am sure it will all go well xx

Hope it all goes well for her tomorrow. Haven't had any personal experience of this with my girls but have been through the mill recently with Esme so I know how you feel. Hugs to you x

Thinking about you and little Shereen today x x

They did an ultrasound and could not find anything so decided to leave things as they are. That is a relief but poor shereen going through all that. Thank you so much everybody for your support. I have been worried sick about today and feel a bit I'll. I knew you would all understand.

Give her a big cuddle from us both x x x

I'm not surprised you're feeling a bit icky - such a worrying time for you. But I'm so pleased they decided it wasn't necessary to operate on Shereen, and hope she'll be alright from now on. Please give her a little kiss from Oscar (and me, of course).
